Jesi Yost, Photographer
My Story
I’ve pretty much done most types of photography except crime scene.
I got my very first camera (a 110 film camera) for my seventh birthday and I was hooked.
I was lucky enough to have photography as an elective in High School and then went to Art School majoring in photography.
When I began college, everything was still analog. I learned to process film and make prints from negatives.
This gave me a firm understanding of light, color, composition, and the importance of taking photos with intention.
I fully understand film speed, aperture, and shutter settings and how to properly expose images to get the desired result.
For over 17 years I’ve worked as a digital eCommerce photographer taking and editing product, model, lifestyle and environmental images for several websites.
I have also been working as a freelance photographer and writer for several newspapers.
In a previous position I took portraits, sports, prom, large group and candid photos for a national company. During my ten years at that company. I became a corporate trainer teaching hundreds of co-workers how to take photos.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
